Baby Monkey Love

To help Greta feel better about the croupe, we pulled a monkey from our bag of tricks.

(Yes, The Gretch has The Croup. "How very 18th century of her," Auntie Autumn said.)

PS - Ella wants to see more of her cousins (you know, cause you don't have enough to do already). She's afraid that the Reno Stotts have taken over the blog.

Happy Birthday Krista!!!!

To celebrate Krista getting old, we all went to BJ's for her birthday. (Well, it was actually the Monday AFTER her birthday, but we still love her. We just wanted to prolong the party...)



Ella was especially excited to be out at dinner. And have Krista wear the "Birthday Princess" crown she made her. AND she got to wear her new shawl!



We had to wait a long time for our food, so the girls got creative with the camera.



The Gretch just wanted to eat a biscuit...



....and check the score on the TV above our table. She was really in to that game.



It was a fun dinner! Happy Birthday To Krista!

This Week In Reno

COLBY FAMILY
This week Gretchen learned how to manipulate more effectively by utilizing high pitched screams. Ella's got a wicked cough & her raspy laugh would put any chain-smoking-bartender to shame. Colby went on a 16 hour bike ride with the YM yesterday, and Apryl decided to wait till NEXT week to see HSM3.

KRISTA
Earned angel wings for watching Gretchen & Ella with only 3 hours notice. She got 4 new kids at her house. She got a "B" on her econ midterm (which she thought she failed). I think Jonah is in love with her.

AMBER
Is off galavanting the Mediterannean/Greece/Italy/Croatia (I know!) We miss her. I hope she brings back more good samples.

DENNIS & ANITA
Dennis wore a hula skirt yesterday. Anita wore Ella's hula skirt too. It was a big week. Also, we now have working smoke detectors. Thanks Grandpa!

Meet The Reno Stotts

Carol and Helen Stott had four amazing children. Their oldest son, Dennis, married Anita Britton in June, 1971.


Dennis & Anita Stott begat 7 children. Here you can see most of them in the super awesome beautiful shiny pajama bottoms that Anita made for the Christmas of 2006.

Kid #1 - Colby
Colby A. Stott married the love of his life, Apryl, in February 2008. They have 2 daughters, but haven't had a family picture taken for a while. Here's what they looked like in December of 2006.

Colby graduated with a degree in fashion design from Seattle Art Institute in 1999. He is currently a student at UNR. He is really good at soccer. He knows a lot about everything & can tell you how microwaves work, explain what a piston does, and can make kids cry just by looking at them.




Kid #2 - Angela
Angela married the love of HER life, Shea Schott, in December 1999. Yup, two months before Colby & Apryl. Dennis and Anita waited YEARS for their kids to get married, and then they up and did it two months from eachother. But they kept them waiting for grandkids another 3 years. Angela & Shea have 2.75 lovely children. Britton, Matia, and TO BE DETERMINED, due Jan '09. Here they are at Lake Tahoe in December of 07 (pretending it's not torture to be sitting on a frozen piece of granite).

Angel is really good at sewing. She doesn't even need a pattern and she can just MAKE IT. She is talented. She has a sweet Harley that she rides. So she is also tough. And she's super pretty.




Kid #3 - Noel
Noel (NOT No-el like Christmas) served a mission for the LDS church in Washington State 97 - 99. He passed away April of 2001 and is very missed.

Noel liked camping, mountain climbing, and the outdoors. He did not let Colby's big-brother-required-torture get him down. His mom dressed him in too-short-shorts when he was a kid, but he could carry them off. He was very adventurous & everyone loves him.




Kid #4 - Amber
Amber stands for AWESOME. She ran the Rock & Roll marathon. TWICE. She likes music and art. She is funny. She has a Bachelors from UNR. We're so proud. She has a puggle named Kooper. He is built like a tank and makes an excellent footrest.

Ella, her niece, thinks Amber is funny. She smells like jellybeans. She dances like Gabriella from High School Musical. Maybe her favorite part of school is show & tell.

Amber likes Matthew.





Kid #5 - Tyler
Tyler married the love of his life, Meghan, in February of 07. Tyler graduated from BYU with a degree in animation in April 08. He & Meghan are expecting their first kid in January of 09. Tyler can speak wicked good Spanish, and is really easy going. You can throw jelly beans at him for a long time before he'll do anything about it. Ella wants him to name their baby either Rainbow Tree or Rosita Posita. We'll see...





Kid #6 - Ian

Ian is super duper smart. He is, like, a math genius. He is working for the post office AND for another place that we can't remember what it's called right now. He is a hard worker. He lives with Angel & her family in Utah right now. He likes fast cars. His car is REALLY FAST. It also looks fast. So he can only go the speed limit. Otherwise he get a lot of tickets. And also, it's loud. We always know when he gets home. And so does the rest of the neighborhood. Ian is also really good at Dance Dance Revolution. He practices the routines in the basement at night. He could totally take you DOWN with his madd DDR skillz.





Kid #7 - KRISTA!!!!!

Krista totally rocks. She did not even write this. Apryl wrote this. Colby's wife. So she knows. Krista is a college student. She also works in a chiropractic office as the Office Manager. That's right, don't mess with her! She is really cute and really nice. She likes sushi, Celine Dion, long walks on the beach, and underwater basket weaving. (She really only likes one thing in that last sentence. It's the sushi). Krista wants to know more about her family. That's why she's initiated this effort. Please join us. We want to know about you too!
